Voxly is built with privacy in mind. Here is what we collect and why.
What we collect: When you view a letter, we record a hashed (one-way encrypted) version of your IP address solely to count unique views. We do not store your raw IP address. When you post a letter, we store the content of the letter, the name you provided (if any), and the timestamp. No account, email, or personal information is required.
What we do not collect: We do not track your browsing behavior. We do not use cookies for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not require or store any personally identifiable information.
Third party services: Voxly uses Neon (PostgreSQL) for data storage and Vercel for hosting. These services may have their own privacy practices which are outside our control.
Data retention: Letters posted on Voxly are stored indefinitely unless removed for violating our community guidelines. There is currently no option to delete a letter once posted.
Contact: If you have any privacy concerns, you can reach us at garcia.johngale@gmail.com.
